We all have a story….this is mine

It all began with a journey through grief. My mama fell ill to a rare neurological virus called Guillain-Barre. Her journey to a diagnosis was long and painful. As I walked beside her until the end, I knew it was not my journey, but hers. I felt helpless as we all do at some point in our life. Walking with a parent, or anyone, on a journey toward the end of life changes you. You are never the same. You get busy doing things.

Working through grief brought about a new found creativity. Having this experience created a desire to spread joy, comfort and sense of calming. I wanted others to know that when we can’t control what’s going on around us, we can control our own actions. We can carve a little space in time, if only for a moment, and re-center and refocus ourselves.

Making and pouring candles is like sharing a hug with others who need a moment to release, relax, renew and revitalize.
